Biosystems, now Sperian Instruments, offers confined space and hazardous gas monitoring instruments capable of monitoring  from 1 to 6 gases simultaneously depending on model. Some of the most popular models are the MultiVision, PhD Lite, ToxiVision and MultiPro meters. The new PhD6 detector has 6 sensor channels with 19 sensor options including IR sensors and a PID sensor for VOC monitoring.

Gases monitored can include oxygen (O₂), explosive atmospheres (LEL), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), chlorine (Cl₂), sulfur dioxide (SO₂), nitrogen oxides (NO and NO₂), hydrogen cyanide (HCN), ammonia (NH₃), chlorine dioxide (ClO₂), phosphine (PH₃), methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (CO₂).
