Primary Gas Flow Calibrator

Bios DryCal ML-500 Air Flow Calibrator, Bios DryCal ML-500 Provers

The Bios DryCal ML-500 primary flow calibrator is a high precision, cost effective primary gas flow calibration standard that provides NIST traceable calibration records with an accuracy of better than 0.5%. Using dry-piston technology the Bios DryCal Met Lab series brings advantages of high speed flow measurements and unsurpassed accuracy to the calibration laboratory in a primary (dimension-based) self validating instrument.

The Bios DryCal ML-500  offers continuous readouts of flow rate, flow average, and the averaged number of readings for both volumetric and STP corrected flow. The Bios DryCal ML-500  has three interchangeable flow cells providing measurements from 5.0 sccm to 50 L/min.

Bios DryCal flow cells use a patented, near frictionless dry-piston and precision photo-optic sensors to obtain volumetric flow readings quickly and accurately. The readings are direct and primary; no assumptions about gas characteristics are needed and there is no mechanism for significant calibration drift. Flow is measured directly as volume per unit time. Internal self-tests by the Bios DryCal ML-500 (patent pending) automatically validate each readings accuracy. Flow is displayed directly at room conditions and at STP conditions. The standardizing sensors are located in the measured gas stream, directly the the entrance to the measuring cylinder for highest accuracy.

FEATURES
Simple Operation
Bios DryCal ML-500 provides accurate volumetric flow readings with the push of a button.

Fast
The Bios DryCal ML-500 saves valuable time.

Alphanumeric Display (LCD)
Indicates the volumetric flow rate and the average flow rate, battery charge level and the number of readings in a running average. The Bios DryCal ML-500 displays the atmospheric pressure and flow rate corrected to STP and the average flow rate at STP.

Three Interchangeable Flow Cells
Three DryCal flow cells cover a broad range: 5 sccm to 50 L/min

Manufactured to ISO 17025 Standards
Guide to Uncetainty in Measurements (GUM) Rigorous uncertainty analysis

Built-in Gas Conversion Capability
Easy conversion from surrogate calibration gasses

Patented Graphite Composite Piston Assembly
Bios DryCal ML-500 eliminates the inherent inaccuracies and mess associated with bubbles and soap, and does NOT require use of mercury seals.

RS-232 PC Data Logging Interface or Internal Measurement Mode
Downloads data directly to a PC

Automatic Sampling
1 to 100 readings as running average (user selected). Repitition rate cane be set as instantaneous or 1 to 255 minutes (user selected).

Built-In Leak Test
Quality assurance self-test allows user to periodically verify flow cell integrity via leak test.

Hands-free Auto-Mode
Flow readings can be taken continuouslyby the Bios DryCal ML-500 in the auto mode for hands-free operation.

Built-in Parallel Port
Can print directly from ML-500.

NIST Traceable

CE Approved
