The MesaLabs Bios DryCal Definer 220 series calibrator has been discontinued by MesaLabs and has been directly replaced by the Defender 530+ effective January 16, 2017.

The 530+ calibrators have the same flow rates as the Definer 220 from 5 cc to 30 liters, are true primary flow standards which allows users to verify gas flow rates, in the field or in the lab, to an accuracy of ±1% percent for readings standardized for temperature and pressure and ±0.75% in volumetric flow.

Unlike thermal mass flow meters, the Definer 220 and Defender 530+ positive displacement technology provides immediate indication of actual volumetric gas flow rate – accurately and independently of gas type.  Integrated temperature and pressure sensors in the flow stream allow users to automatically standardize volumetric flow readings to standard conditions, for traceable verifications of mass flow devices.

A versatile, push-button flow meter, the Defender 530+ is a primary flow standard which enables the user to accurately calibrate a variety of instruments while maintaining an ISO 17025-traceable audit trail.

MesaLabs' Bios DryCal Definer 220 - Overview

Accuracy

  • Standardized: ±1.0%, Volumetric ±0.75%
  • Proven percent of reading accuracy is supported by ISO 17025 accreditation by NVLAP of NIST
  • Integrated temperature sensors and pressure transducers placed directly in the flow stream for optimum standardized results recording
Flexibility
  •  Can display volumetric or standardized flow units – (mL/min, L/min, cc/min, cf/min)
  •  Include up to one hundred readings in a group average
  •  Take individual readings, continuous hands-free readings, or set to read in time intervals anywhere
from one minute to sixty minutes between readings

Software:

  • The DryCal® Pro software is available for the Definer with an integrated serial PC interface for easy transfer of flow data to a text file, with automatic recording and graphing of flow measurements. These records can also be easily opened in a variety of off-the-shelf database applications, including Microsoft Excel or Acces
